Thanks to the built-in economy mode, the operator can independently adjust the power factor in accordance with the work being done. Automatic control of the crankshaft speed allows for the most efficient use of fuel resources and reduces the level of vibration.
The ADEM A4 electronic fuel delivery unit installed on the excavator allows the engine to quickly respond to changes in power demand. High accuracy of fuel supply is ensured by multiple injection. This allows you to lower the temperature in the furnace, reduce toxicity and optimize the combustion process.
The fundamentally new layout of the Cat C9 engine allowed the cooling system to be removed from the engine compartment. The speed control of the cooling fan is carried out thanks to the built-in hydraulic drive.
The air cleaner is located behind the cab and is a filter with radial seals and a two-layer filter mesh.
Comfort and safety
The excavator cab is sealed and protected from excessive vibration. On the left side of the cab is the climate control switch, which is standard on the machine. The most important controls are located on the right side of the workplace: implement switches; air conditioning system; engine start switch; engine speed scale; monitor.
Cabin mounts are rubber-metal supports, which can significantly reduce noise and vibration. Additional safety to the car is provided by the lever of inclusion of a hydraulic system. Without transferring it to working condition, the control levers do not begin to function.
Maintenance
The Cat 336D L excavator has been designed to be easy and safe to maintain. Access to the most important parts of the machine, requiring periodic intervention and control, is provided from ground level.
The pump compartment is located on the right side of the cabin – it provides access to the pump and the filter of the control circuit. On the left side of the revolving cab is a radiator compartment that allows servicing the heat exchanger, sub-cooler and air-to-air cooler. The radiator is equipped with an additional tank and a drain cock.

A capsule filter is located outside the hydraulic tank: it protects the hydraulic system from the ingress of foreign substances during the hydraulic oil change. The lubrication block is placed on the excavator boom, which allows the lubricant to be distributed to hard-to-reach places in the front of the machine.
It is possible to carry out diagnostics and control the level of operating fluids with the help of special valves for regular sampling and sampling.
